(UAE) CNC Technician Miller & Programming Assistant

• Experience and Skills

1. Minimum 8 years in CNC milling manufacturing

2. Siemens 808D milling controller knowledge: advanced

3. Siemens NX 12 knowledge: basic

• General Duties

1. Ensure that the CNC machines are operated properly and are clean and serviced at all times.

2. Ensure that the CNC room is clean at all times.

3. Ensure that the tools are placed back into their respective location after each job.

 

• Mechanical Production Duties

1. Ensure that the CNC machines and machine room are clean, in a proper state of operating at all times.

2. Operate the CNC milling machine.

3. Suggest fixtures design for milling.

4. Fabricate fixtures.

5. Fabricate parts from Aluminium, steel and other alloys.

6. Consign the actual fabrication times and stock weights in the appropriate log.

7. Comply with parts tolerances and mechanical assembly clearances.

8. Verify general part surface quality.

9. Log machine hours and machine problems on the machine log.

10. Verify cutters stock, cutters condition.

• Programming Duties

1. Read and analyse the CAD generated by the design engineer.

2. Generate tool paths in Delcam or Mastercam.

3. Assist in noting machining times and stock weights in the appropriate excel files to generate cost sheets. Verify versus actual times and stock weight. Generate a warning in case of discrepancies.
